A large amount of Alcohol is consumed during the Carnival season. This wee, I am sharing two drink recipes from the book In the Land of Cocktails. The first one is called Brake Tag, which to people outside of New Orleans is known as an inspection sticker.
1 ounce Southern Comfort
1 ounce Amaretto
1 ounce Orange Juice
1 ounce Cranberry Juice
1 Orange Wedge
1 Maraschino Cherry
Combine Southern Comfort, amaretto, orange and cranberry juices in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain the cocktail into a highball glass with ice. Skewer the orange wedge and cherry on a cocktail pick, place in the glass and serve immediately.
