Lemon-Basil Rub

Walk down the spice isle in your local supermarket. There you will find many pre-made grill rub and seasoning blends. While I have tried many, I usually find them lacking. I love to mix my own blends together. This way, I know I'm getting the flavors I want. This week, I will share 2 different rubs for the grill.

1/4 cup lemon-pepper seasoning

4 teaspoons dried basil

2 teaspoons dried chervil

2 teaspoons ground fennel seed

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Transfer to a sealed container, and store up to 6 months.
