Pecan Pesto

Pesto is one of my favorite sauces. The traditional nut used in pesto is pine nuts. Here's a Louisiana twist on this Italian dish


1 1/2 cups fresh basil

3 tablespoons garlic, chopped

1/4 cup pecans

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup olive oIl


Place all ingredients in a blended and blend into a paste. Store in refrigerator in a sealed container for a week.
