Candied Spiced-Rum Bacon

This week, I was to feature two recipes from my favorite part of a pig, Bacon. I don't think I have ever met someone who doesn't like bacon. As a matter of fact, many of my friends love bacon. So these recipes are for them.

1 pound thick-cut bacon

1 1/2 cups spiced rum

1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

In a shallow dish, place bacon strips. Add rum, making sure all pieces of bacon are covered. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350℉. Line 2 rimmed bacon sheets with parchment paper, and set a wire rack in each.

Remove bacon from dish, lightly pat dry with paper towels. Lay bacon strips on wire racks. Sprinkle brown sugar in an even layer, and press gently to adhere to bacon.

Bake until crisp, 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.

Enjoy!!!
