Here's another couple of recipes that you need the first one to complete the second one. Stone-ground grits are so much better than the instant grits more people serve.
3 cups milk
1 cup water
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 cup stone-ground white grits
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
In a medium saucepan, bring milk, 1 cup water, and salt to a boil over medium-high heat. Gradually whisk in grits. Cokk, whisking constantly, until grits and liquid have been incorporated, 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer, until grits are tender, 20-25 minutes. Stir in butter until melted and combined. Serve immediately.
Enjoy!!!
